For anyone who loves the enchanting colours and captivating smells of fresh flowers, there can be no nicer job in the world than the trade of a florist.

As such, my own shop was a dream come true, I named it “IVY LANE” situated in Enniskillen, east bridge street.

I was enchanted by flowers at a very early age when I began working part-time as a teenager in the same shop I now own. At the time it was called erne flowers run by willie Prescott and it was here in my very first job that I discovered my passion.

   However, like many I found real life interrupted my dream and I started working as a clerical officer for the next 13 years.

Yet, even then I found a way to keep my passion for flowers, regularly doing wedding flowers around the country. More and more people coming to me for their special day increased, then at the start of the year 2007 the shop on east bridge street that housed a florist for over 15 years became available. Although the timing wasn’t great as I was just about to have a baby, jumping into self-employment is not something I regret.
